Why Consign?

If you are like everyone else we know, you have bins of kid items that are still in great condition, but can no longer be used by anyone in your family. Get those items back out into the community and get a big-ole’ check in return! Consigning is easy (much easier than a garage sale!) and addictive – AND consignors get to shop before the public.

There are two sales every year; one focused on Fall and Winter, and one focused on Spring and Summer. See the schedule on our Upcoming Sale Information page to find exact dates.

THE DETAILS YOU'RE WONDERING ABOUT!

  • You will receive 70% of sales, much higher than consignment stores. AND – volunteering isn’t necessary to receive this high percentage.
  • You only pay $11 to consign! This consignment fee is collected at time of registration through PayPal. (Don’t have PayPal? You can also pay by a credit card, through the PayPal website. Just follow the prompts.) This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and helps pay for our fixed costs such as advertising and the facility rental.
  • You set the price of all of your sales.
  • You tag all your own items using an easy tagging system that has you print tags and affix separately printed barcodes to them.
    • If you’re worried about the time commitment, check out our Half-Pint Helpers program, where you split the proceeds with someone who does the tagging for you.
  • You (or a friend) can attend the consignor pre-sale! To be eligible, you must have dropped off items to sell – not just paid the registration fee. Only one person per consignor may attend the presale. If you would like to have you and your spouse/partner/mother/friend shop together, we recommend that you or the other person volunteers. If you consign and volunteer, you will get two entry passes. Note volunteer entry passes allow for an earlier entry – want to be FIRST to shop the sale? Volunteer!
  • Payment is via echeck – checks are delivered to the email address you sign up with within 10 business days.
  • You decide to pick up the items you did not sell, OR have us donate them after the sale is over.
  • Selling a lot of items? Consignors with 5+ bins of items to consign are eligible for a scheduled drop-off time prior to the sale. See Upcoming Sale Information for drop-off scheduling (usually two to three weeks before the close of consignor registration). Drop-off scheduling is first come first serve, but you can always come at any point and wait in line.
  • Half-Pint Resale reserves the right to limit items or turn away any items that we feel do not fit the sale’s scope and/or capacity.
  • Join the Half-Pint family! Follow the How to Consign link to learn the process or register at the link below.
