Summer Lovin’ at the Atwood Summerfest

Now that we’re past the fourth of July, I’m feeling the urge to dig in to summer.  It’s not going to be around forever, this fabulous thing called Summer, and we’ve already got a whole month under our belt.  It’s time for sittin’ on the beach and summer festivals.

One of our favorite, the Atwood Summerfest, is just around the bend on July 31, 2010.    We’ve been a part of this fest for the past two years, and are looking forward to our third and most fabulous year.  (Some of you may remember two years ago, when we were going to have our first booth, I ditched poor Lisa to haul off and have a baby.  Thankfully, a good friend saved the day and Lisa and Half-Pint supporter Angela led the fun).  Last year we continued the tradition with games, giveaways, and more.

And this year will be no different.  And we need your help!  First, if nothing else, grab your family, and come on down!  Lots of fun to be had at the many booths.  Saturday, July 31st, Noon to 7pm, Atwood avenue becomes a party zone.  (Don’t forget the sun-screen).

But if you have the opportunity, we are looking for several volunteers to help us deliver our own Half-Pint fun.  We are looking for two people for each of the following shifts:  11:30am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-4:30pm, and 4:30pm-7pm.   Folks who volunteer at Atwood will automatically receive volunteer passes for the upcoming Fall Sale.  Get your shift in now so you can concentrate on shopping (and consigning, if that floats your boat) come the middle of September.  It’s a good gig!
